Retort furnace

The ThermoLine-VAC series includes industrial furnaces suitable for vacuum and process gas. Retort furnaces as so-called hot-wall furnaces represent a cost-effective alternative. Depending on customer requirements, the furnaces are designed both for high vacuum (1*10-6 mbar) and for all process gas atmospheres (in particular Ar, N2, H2 and mixtures thereof). Depending on the retort material, systems for temperatures up to approx. 1200 °C can be realized. The retort is heated from the outside with a conventional furnace.

Measurement, control & regulation technology:

  • Siemens PLC, industrial PC or industrial controller
  • Control of power according to heating element temperature
  • Sample thermocouples (option)
  • Single or multi-zone control of the heating elements
  • Running of the process in program segments (ramps, holding times, change of atmosphere etc.)
  • Documentation of process data for quality assurance
