Drying ceramics

After the ceramic raw materials have been spread, they are often mixed with water and formed into a green compact. After shaping, the green compact usually receives a separate heat treatment to remove the water from the product in a defined way.

Process control decisive

Many green products (e.g. foam ceramics) require a very defined and gentle drying process to preserve the structure and shape of the component. This requires product-specific drying processes under convection with controlled humidity and thermal radiation up to microwave.
