Heating of glass fiber reinforced plastic sheets for a subsequent press forming/thermoforming process
Batch creation for targeted heating of glass fiber reinforced plastic sheets for a subsequent press forming/thermoforming process was developed for a customer. The loading and unloading of plastic sheets occurs with a movable loading trolley or platinum car. The plastic sheets are placed here on a wire mesh. The lower and upper infrared heating panel is each separately adjustable. Homogeneous temperature distribution over the plate dimensions is ensured through a specially adapted heater arrangement.
High energy efficiency is achieved by a zone-wise switching off of the heater panels when heating smaller plates. The setup of requested product temperature as well as control in accordance with the actual temperature of the material is possible via the integrated control. The temperature measurement of the plastic sheets occurs contactless via a pyrometer. An integrated exhaust hood allows connection to an exhaust air system.
